No registrations will be accepted on Thursday or Friday, September 4 or 5. If you miss the cutoff on Wednesday the 3rd, you may register in person Saturday morning at DAM J.A.M. from 6:30 am until 15 minutes before the ride starts.
All riders will be issued a numbered bib at check-in/packet pick-up. Bib must be worn in plain sight on the back of their jersey. Safety pins will be provided.
DAM J.A.M. commences rain or shine. The start may be delayed due to uncontrollable circumstances, or the event may be cancelled or routes shortened if hazardous weather persists beyond a reasonable start time, as determined by our management team.
This is a benefit event; there are no refunds.
Loads of free parking at the Burdick Center, east of the High School, south side of East 9th Street. Please do not park in the Rec Center parking lot or on the street.
The main tent opens at 6:30 a.m. Saturday for check-in and to welcome you to DAM J.A.M. There will be light snacks, coffee, and water. Pre-registered riders may pick up their packets. Day-of Registration will be open until 7:45 a.m. Stop in and say Hi!
Included with all registrations. Please stay around for a burger and a beer from We Street Credit Union and Fat Toad Brewing from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. We'll also have water and soft drinks, and a place to hang out and swap stories about your day.
All route maps are live at Ride With GPS. Search there for "2025 DAM JAM" or click the map links on this website. Get the Ride with GPS mobile app from the App Store or Google Play.
Ride with GPS integrates nicely with Garmin, Wahoo, Strava, and other devices and services.
Get more route details on the Routes and Maps page.
We'll also have paper maps for those who prefer an old-school experience.
One mass start at 8:00 a.m.
Police will escort the riders through two significant intersections on their way out of Pryor:
First is a left onto Carbide Road with fast traffic and drivers who won't expect bicycles
Second is across Highway 20, with four lanes, a median, and 65+ mph traffic
If you start any time other than the 8:00 am mass start, you won't be escorted, and you must obey all traffic signs and signals.
If you leave earlier than 8:00 am, you might find yourself without rest stops or route support. Your call.
Support ends at 4:00 p.m.
ALL Routes: if you're still riding at 4:00 p.m., we'll give you the option to continue unsupported or take a SAG ride back to the start/finish.
Average Minimum Pace for Century Riders
Whole Dam Jam (104.4 miles) riders must average at least 13-14 mph for 104 miles, including stops, to finish by 4:00 p.m.
Two self-regulated shortcut options are available if you aren't on pace:
Time Check 1 - reach Mile 26 by 10:00 a.m. or turn south to finish on the 3/4 Dam Jam (72 miles)
Time Check 2 - reach Mile 40 by 11:15 a.m. or turn south to cut off the 17-mile outer loop (87 miles)
Self-regulate: we won't be monitoring bailout times. If you aren't on pace at designated time checks, we recommend taking the shortcut. You're unlikely to make up time later as the route gets harder after 40 miles.
No other effective shortcuts after 40 miles. The Whole Dam Jam Map shows bailout locations and details.
Numbered Bibs - Wear the numbered bib we issue you on your back, plainly visible, so SAG drivers can identify you from their vehicle. Your registration information is tied to your bib number to ensure we can provide the support you may need.
Directional Support - All routes will be surface-marked with yellow paint. Directional signs will be at key locations. Use the Ride With GPS app / 2025 DAM J.A.M. maps as an orientation aid. Routes are subject to change without notice.
SAG & Communications Support - We have an experienced team of amateur radio operators serving as SAG drivers. They have a lot of practice monitoring rider safety and providing rolling support on bike rides. You'll see them regularly and may utilize them as needed.
Carry your phone - We'll monitor a Rider's Emergency Phone in our SAG communications trailer. If you need help while riding, call the number we'll provide to you before the event.
Mechanical Support - We'll have limited breakdown assistance on all routes. Full mechanical services will be limited. So...
Please be equipped to fix your flats, change a tube, put your chain back on, etc., and know how to do it.
Medical Support - There will be no dedicated medical support staff on the course. Most SAG drivers will carry basic first aid kits, but SAGs are not qualified or authorized to provide medical aid. In any medical situation, the SAG protocol is to assess the situation and advise radio communications control operators, who will contact Mayes and Delaware County emergency medical services for assistance. If a SAG driver is not in sight, call the Rider's Emergency Phone Number provided to you before the event.
Road support and rest stops close by 4:00 p.m. See section, "Go Time, Finish Time, and Average Pace" above.
Helmets are required for every rider, no exceptions.
No headphones or other distractions. Be present to your surroundings and the others around you.
An adult must accompany all riders under 16 years of age.
Carry water with you... and drink it.
Expect automobile traffic. All routes are on open public roads, with no special traffic control for this event. Obey all vehicle laws. Ride no more than two abreast. Be alert to traffic (see the note above about headphones and other distractions).
Please don't cross the centerline into the oncoming traffic lane, ESPECIALLY ON HILLS!! Every year, we see some of you do it, and we're amazed you're still alive.
Pass on the left. Signal your moves. Use standard warnings to other riders like "bike on your left", "car back", "car passing", etc. Yield to faster riders, especially on hills. Be good to each other.
