Ever wonder who the SAGs are that show up within minutes when a rider goes down, or a chain snaps on a back road at DAM J.A.M.?

They're not paid. They're not employees. They're local ham radio volunteers from around Northeast Oklahoma who track riders on course and get help to you fast. By federal law, they can't be paid a cent for it. They drive their own vehicles, run their own gear, and pay it all out of pocket. Public service is a huge part of their hobby and what they're trained to do, this is neighbors helping neighbors.

What they can't cover alone: the repeaters, RF-based tracking equipment, antennas, mobile command post, and more. They've spent decades building the network that makes reliable, countywide coverage possible on event day.
